Can I use Opera browser online without downloading it?

Which Opera versions can I test on?

Does Opera have its own browser engine?

Not any more. Opera used its own Presto engine for roughly a decade, then moved to Chromium with Opera 15, which reached beta on 28 May 2013. Current Opera runs on Blink, the same engine as Chrome and Edge, so most rendering matches Chrome while Opera's own UI features and default settings can still differ.

Is Opera based on Chromium?

Yes, from Opera 15 onward. Versions before that used Presto, Opera's own engine, and render differently enough that a legacy Opera bug will not reproduce in a modern build. Everything available here is version 23 or newer, so all of it is Chromium-era.

If Opera uses Blink, do I still need to test it separately?

Usually yes. Opera shares the Blink engine with Chrome, so layout and JavaScript behaviour are close, but Opera ships its own UI, a built-in ad blocker, a free VPN, and different default settings. Those change what your page actually does for an Opera user, and none of it shows up in a Chrome test.
