1. KaneAI Launch: End-to-End Software Testing Agent
This two-minute video launched KaneAI on August 21, 2024, as a private beta, presenting it as an end-to-end software testing agent that creates, debugs, and evolves tests from natural-language instructions. The launch features it demos:
- Intelligent test generation - write and evolve a test as plain-English instructions.
- Intelligent test planner - turn a high-level objective into automated test steps.
- Conditionals and assertions - express both in natural language instead of code.
- Smart show-me mode - perform the actions yourself and get them back as natural-language steps.
- Multi-language code export - convert a finished test into code for major languages and frameworks.
The current KaneAI also generates tests from PRDs, Jira tickets, and GitHub pull requests, and updates affected steps when the UI changes. Exported code targets Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and Appium.
2. Master Design Patterns in 6 Hours
Anton Angelov, co-founder and CTO of Automate The Planet, teaches software design patterns in this six-hour course. The chapters cover Proxy and Adapter, Decorator, Singleton, Dependency Injection, Chain of Responsibility, Strategy, Repository and Factory, Data-Driven Testing, and Builder, with GitHub repositories for the patterns linked in the video description.
The examples are in C#, but the structure carries over to any object-oriented language. Each chapter runs roughly 35 to 47 minutes, so the course works well one chapter at a time.
3. The Future of Testing: Impact of AI in QA
Recorded at Spartans Summit 2024, this one-hour panel brings together Pricilla Bilavendran, Naveen Khunteta, Ibironke Yekinni, Parveen Khan, Steve Caprara, and Mahathee Dandibhotla to discuss how AI is changing quality assurance work.
The takeaways listed for the session are the evolution of QA, scalability and adaptability, the shift in how testing gets done, and business impact. For a written look at the same topic, read how teams use AI in QA.
4. Create and Run Your First Playwright Test (JavaScript)
Part 1 of the Playwright JavaScript series is taught by Tapas Adhikary, a full-stack developer and founder of CreoWis. Over 48 minutes he installs Playwright, explains the configuration file, runs a first test and generates a report, tours the VS Code extension and the test recorder, and then runs the suite on the TestMu AI cloud.
To repeat that last step with your own tests, follow how to run your first Playwright test on TestMu AI. For written walkthroughs of the same setup, see the Playwright tutorial.
5. Building Core Components for Web
Part 2 of Anton Angelov's Advanced Test Automation Framework Development series builds the base layer of a C# web automation framework. The chapters cover the framework structure, WebDriver adapters, find and wait strategies, web components with lazy loading, and dynamic validations.
The code for this part is on the building-core-components-for-web branch of the PolarisLiteTestFramework repository on GitHub.
If adopting an existing framework suits your team better than building one, compare the options in this roundup of test automation frameworks.
6. How to Tag and Filter JUnit 5 Tests
Part 7 of the JUnit 5 series comes from Rex Jones II, a QA engineer and trainer. In about 31 minutes it covers tag syntax rules, tagging a method and a class, tag expressions, and running tagged tests through Maven's Surefire plugin and from the IDE.
Tags let one suite serve several runs, such as a fast smoke set on every commit and the full regression set nightly, without moving test files. The rest of the framework is covered in the JUnit tutorial.
7. Page Object Model in WebdriverIO
Part 5 of the WebdriverIO series is presented by Marco A Cruz, founder of automateNow. In under 15 minutes it explains the page object model, then builds page objects and uses them inside tests, and the sample project is on GitHub.
Keeping locators and page actions in one class per page means a UI change is fixed in that class instead of in every test that touches the page. For the pattern in more depth, read the page object model guide.
8. Top 5 Automation Testing Tools
This two-minute overview of five automation testing tools was published in December 2024, and YouTube now lists it as "Top 5 Automation Testing Tools for 2026 Revealed". It suits a quick scan; for side-by-side detail on more tools, read the automation testing tools comparison.
9. Gen AI Trends for Quality Engineering
In this episode of the TestMu AI XP Series, Rituparna Ghosh, Vice President and Head of Quality Engineering and Testing at Wipro at the time of recording, discusses what generative AI changes for testers and for the businesses adopting it.
The chapters cover testing the output of generative AI models, addressing bias, the future of manual testing, efficiency gains from AI in testing, and how testers keep their skills current. For the practical side, read the guide to generative AI in software testing.
10. GitHub Flow vs Git Flow Explained
Despite its YouTube title, this two-minute explainer compares two branching models rather than GitHub itself, spending about a minute on each.
GitHub flow is a lightweight, branch-based workflow: create a branch, make changes, open a pull request, address review comments, merge, and delete the branch.
Git Flow, which Vincent Driessen published in 2010, keeps long-lived master and develop branches and adds feature, release, and hotfix branches. In a 2020 note on the same post, Driessen recommends a simpler workflow such as GitHub flow for teams doing continuous delivery.
Next Steps
If the KaneAI launch is the video you came for, write a test of your own next: create a TestMu AI account, then use the introduction to KaneAI to turn a Jira ticket or a plain-text description into a ready-to-run test.
The channel's other webinars and tutorial series are in the TestMu AI video library.
