Methodology

Sources Behind Each TestMu AI vs Parasoft Table Row

We compared both vendors on 20 October 2026. On the Parasoft side we read the Selenic, SOAtest and Virtualize product and pricing pages, the Selenic system requirements, the SOAtest browser support, LLM integration and MCP server documentation, Parasoft's license documentation, and its integration pages for LambdaTest, Sauce Labs and Appium. On our side we used the TestMu AI documentation for KaneAI, Selenium automation and the real device cloud, plus our public pricing page.

Parasoft sells a family of tools, so the table compares the products that overlap with TestMu AI: Selenic for Java Selenium UI tests and SOAtest for API, web and mobile functional tests. Static analysis, unit test generation and service virtualization have no TestMu AI counterpart, and the table lists them as Parasoft rows rather than leaving them out.

TestMu AI has been named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Agentic Software Quality Assurance Platforms.

Pricing

TestMu AI Plan Prices vs Parasoft SOAtest Sales Quotes

Parasoft lists prices for a few desktop and single-machine editions and quotes the rest. Selenic Individual is free, a desktop license that never expires, and Selenic Essentials costs $199 a month on an annual plan for one node-locked automation license, which adds self-healing in CI, test impact analysis and the Maven plugin. SOAtest has no listed price: it starts with a 14-day trial set up with a Parasoft solution engineer, and Parasoft's pricing page asks for a quote.

Virtualize has a free edition capped at 1,000 hits a day and a Professional Desktop edition from $99 a month, and C/C++test Individual is $35 a month, both billed annually. Parasoft licenses are named-user, concurrent or machine-locked. A Selenic license covers the tool and not the browsers, so the tests still run on machines or a grid you provide.

On TestMu AI, desktop web automation is $29 per parallel session a month on Linux or $79 across Windows, macOS and Linux, and real-device automation is $199 per parallel session for web and native app tests. KaneAI is $17 (Starter), $89 (Pro) or $179 (Max) per agent a month, each agent includes a Test Manager seat, and the free plan includes 100 lifetime minutes of automation. Every plan is listed on the pricing page.

Parasoft Selenic

Individual free, Essentials $199 a month, browsers not included

Parasoft SOAtest

Quote only, 14-day trial available

TestMu AI automation

$29 to $199 per parallel session, browsers and devices included

Both price sets checked on 20 October 2026 against parasoft.com plans and pricing pages and testmuai.com/pricing. Parasoft and TestMu AI figures are monthly rates, billed annually.

Use Cases by Team

Which Teams Should Move From Parasoft to TestMu AI?

Java Selenium Teams That Need Hosted Browsers

Selenic heals tests at runtime but runs them on browsers you install or a Selenium Grid you maintain. TestMu AI hosts 3,000+ browser and OS combinations, and Parasoft's own integration page describes Selenic healing during runs on the LambdaTest cloud, our name until January 2026, so a Selenic suite keeps its healing and changes only its remote WebDriver URL and capabilities.

Mobile Teams Without an In-House Device Lab

SOAtest runs JUnit-format Appium tests, but the iOS and Android devices come from you or from a device cloud. TestMu AI runs Appium, Espresso and XCUITest suites on 10,000+ real Android and iOS devices, and KaneAI authors native app tests in plain English on its Max plan and exports them as Appium code.

Teams Writing Tests in Python, C# or JavaScript

Selenic supports Java 11, 17 and 21 with JUnit, TestNG and Java Cucumber only. TestMu AI runs Selenium in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Ruby and PHP, plus Playwright, Cypress and more than 50 frameworks, so teams outside Java move to a cloud grid without rewriting their tests.

Safety-Critical and Protocol-Heavy Teams Should Keep Parasoft

Teams that need MISRA or AUTOSAR static analysis, ISO 26262 or DO-178C compliance work, Jtest unit test generation or service virtualization should stay on Parasoft, because TestMu AI offers none of these. The same holds for API suites built on Kafka, RabbitMQ or MQTT among SOAtest's 120+ formats, since KaneAI covers REST and SOAP.

Migration

4 Steps to Move Parasoft Selenic and SOAtest to TestMu AI

  1. Step 1

Point Java Selenium Tests at the TestMu AI Hub

Replace the RemoteWebDriver URL in your JUnit, TestNG or Cucumber setup with the TestMu AI hub URL, and add capabilities for browser, version and OS. The Selenium migration guide lists each change. The Selenic Java agent stays on your test command, so its healing runs as before.

  2. Step 2

Choose Auto Healing or Selenic Healing per Suite

Set the autoHeal capability to let TestMu AI repair broken locators during the session, as the Auto Healing guide describes, or keep Selenic if your team relies on its IDE recommendations. We suggest one healing layer per suite, so a healed step points to one cause.

  3. Step 3

Re-Create SOAtest Web and Mobile Scenarios in KaneAI

SOAtest .tst scenarios run only inside SOAtest, so write those journeys again in KaneAI from a Jira ticket, a PRD or plain English. KaneAI turns them into editable steps and exports Selenium, Playwright or Appium code that your team keeps.

  4. Step 4

Add REST and SOAP Checks as KaneAI API Steps

Add API steps to the same KaneAI test as the UI flow, as the KaneAI API testing docs show, so one run checks the screen and the response behind it. Keep message-queue, load and security suites in SOAtest if you depend on them.
