Sumit Shatwara:
Sumit Shatwara is a Forward Deployed Engineer at Cognition, based in India, where he works with global system integrators and enterprise customers to bring agentic software engineering and agentic security into real production environments. Sumit's path into this space started with hands-on code. Nearly 8 years ago, he was a Python developer writing plugins line by line. Since then, he has spent his career learning the layers that modern software depends on, including cloud infrastructure, databases, application modernization, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity, through roles at Wiz, Neo4j, Redis, and Red Hat. That foundation now shapes how he thinks about agentic AI: not as a replacement for engineering discipline, but as its next evolution. At Cognition, Sumit works directly with developer teams inside large GSIs and large customers, helping them adopt autonomous software engineers like Devin to move beyond code assistance into genuine end-to-end software delivery. His work sits at the intersection of developer experience, enterprise scale, and the practical realities of shipping agentic systems into production, not just demos. He is based in Mumbai and has spent his career translating deep technical work into outcomes that matter for enterprise teams building at scale.
