Same Agent. Real Hardware. Tests You Keep.

Spur tunes its agents to e-commerce storefronts, defines its device cloud as simulators, and defines viewports as screen dimensions plus a user-agent string. TestMu AI authors the same natural-language tests for any product, runs them on real devices and real browser engines, and exports them to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium.

10,000+ real devices
Simulators and emulators, documented as iPhone 12-15 Pro, Pixel 6-8, mid-tier Samsung

Browser and OS coverage

3000+ browser and OS combinations
Not documented, no way to select a Firefox, Safari or Edge engine appears in the docs

Viewport and resolution presets

Real browsers at real resolutions across the grid
Screen dimensions plus a user-agent string: MacBook Pro 13/15/16, iPad Pro, iPhone 14, Galaxy S23/S24, Pixel 7/8 Pro, plus custom

Export tests to code

Export to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium
Not documented, no export path to any framework appears in the docs

Import existing scripts

Not documented as a script-to-test importer
Script-to-Test imports Playwright, Selenium, Cypress and Puppeteer, a genuine Spur strength

Autonomous exploratory testing

Not documented as a distinct exploratory agent
Exploratory agent designed to find new paths every run and adapt to pop-ups, banners and out-of-stock items

Accepted test inputs

Natural language, PRDs, Jira tickets, PDFs, images, audio, video, GitHub PRs
Natural language, video recordings, Loom links, uploaded files, existing suite patterns, automation scripts

Element location strategy

Self-healing plus smart element detection
No XPaths or selectors, every run is a fresh AI pass reading the page visually

Test management and traceability

Test Manager, requirements to tests to runs to defects in one view
Suites, folders, test plans, drafts and snooze, no requirements-to-defects traceability documented

Migration from legacy test management

1-click migration from TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, qTest
Not documented

Jira integration depth

Two-way Jira sync plus two-way Azure DevOps sync
One-way ticket creation from failures into Jira and Linear, with repro steps auto-populated

CI/CD

CI/CD integration across major providers
GitHub Actions and GitLab CI, other providers via a webhook POST

Parallel execution

HyperExecute, up to 70% faster execution
Hundreds of tests in parallel across web and native mobile, no published concurrency limit or benchmark

Visual regression testing

SmartUI AI visual regression
Not documented as a dedicated product, the UI/UX agent flags typos, broken links and layout overflows

Localization testing

Covered within KaneAI's connected flow

Not required, KaneAI can ingest GitHub PRs when you choose to connect them
Zero codebase access, tests deployed URLs only

SSO

SAML 2.0 SSO with Okta, OneLogin and other IdPs
Google SSO and Azure SSO

Methodology

How This Comparison Was Built

Each row is scored against Spur's own public documentation at docs.spurtest.com and its marketing site as of July 2026, alongside hands-on runs of KaneAI authoring and execution on HyperExecute. Where Spur documents no capability, the row reads Not documented rather than asserting it does not exist, because absence of documentation is not proof of absence. Compliance certifications were deliberately left out of the table: Spur links a trust center that could not be opened, and this comparison will not imply a gap it cannot defend. Where Spur is genuinely stronger, on autonomous exploratory testing, localization, and importing existing scripts, the comparison says so plainly. This comparison is re-checked whenever either product ships a material change.

Why Teams Look Past Emulated Coverage

Keep the natural-language agent. Run it against hardware and engines your users actually have.

TestMu NATURAL LANGUAGE AUTHORINGNATURAL LANGUAGE AUTHORING

The Instruction Is the Test

No XPaths, no CSS selectors, no code. That part you already like about Spur. KaneAI adds the inputs your backlog actually lives in, and gives you the generated test back as code you can own.

Try for free
  • Author from natural language, a Jira ticket, PRD, PDF, or GitHub pull request
  • Export to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Appium, no one-way door
  • Review every generated plan before it runs

TestMu SELF-HEALING AND ROOT CAUSESELF-HEALING AND ROOT CAUSE

Maintenance Becomes a Review

Spur documents auto bug classification, video replay, and console and network logs, but no flaky-test detection and no AI root-cause analysis. TestMu AI re-anchors the step and tells you why the run failed, not just that it did.

Try for free
  • Self-healing plus smart element detection on UI change
  • AI root-cause analysis instead of a bare stack trace
  • Flaky-test detection across runs with Test Insights

Every Layer In One Run

A simulator and a spoofed user-agent will not surface a Safari rendering bug or a mid-tier Android failing under real network conditions. TestMu AI covers web, mobile, API, database, network and accessibility on real hardware in one connected run.

  • 3000+ browser and OS combinations, 10,000+ real devices
  • Parallel execution on HyperExecute, up to 70% faster

Experience the Power of Unified Testing Cloud

What You Get Beneath the Agent Layer

Auto Healing

Auto Healing

Broken element locators are detected and re-anchored automatically, so a UI refactor does not turn into an afternoon of test repair.

Auto Muting

Auto Muting

Noisy tests that fail without actionable signal are muted automatically, keeping the suite result meaningful instead of permanently amber.

Flaky Test Management

Flaky Test Management

Flaky scenarios are identified and tracked across runs, so intermittent failures stop eroding trust in the pipeline.

Fail Fast

Fail Fast

Execution stops early when a critical failure appears, returning feedback in minutes rather than after a full suite run.

Artifact Management

Artifact Management

Screenshots, video, and logs are captured and organised for every test, so debugging does not depend on reproducing locally.

Smart Wait

Smart Wait

Elements are waited for intelligently rather than with fixed sleeps, removing the timing flakiness that fills suites with retries.
