The first wave of developer AI focused on helping individuals write code faster. The next wave is where agents transform the entire software delivery lifecycle. But enterprises have different needs. They do not simply need more code generated faster. They need an agentic software factory that operates with quality, control, reliability, and accountability at scale.

That takes more than deploying coding agents. Enterprises must be able to modernize large, complex codebases, ensure consistent standards across thousands of repositories, validate AI-generated changes, manage security and compliance requirements, resolve production issues, and determine whether increased AI usage is producing better engineering and business outcomes. The goal isn't tokenmaxxing. It’s outcome-maxxing.

This session brings together leaders building different layers of the emerging agentic software engineering stack to examine what it takes to move from isolated coding copilots to a connected, enterprise-grade engineering system. The discussion will explore how organizations can introduce greater automation while maintaining visibility, governance, reliability, trust, and human oversight.

About the Panelists

Heena Purohit:

Heena is the Director of AI at Microsoft for Startups, where she focuses on discovering and supporting the world’s most promising Data and AI startups, and helping them succeed by partnering with the Microsoft ecosystem. Prior to that, she spent 15+ years building and scaling Enterprise AI products. She launched and scaled multiple AI products from 0 to 1 and was incubating a portfolio of GenAI startups at IBM’s Corporate incubator program. Outside work, she is dedicated to promoting gender diversity in AI and building the AI-powered future responsibly. She is a global AI speaker and a leading advocate for AI literacy, responsible AI, and gender diversity in technology, working to ensure we’re building the AI-powered future responsibly.

Chase Norton:

Chase Norton is the Head of AI at Faros AI. A three-time founder and 18-year engineer, he has shipped at PayPal scale, led teams to GA in healthcare, and built and sold companies in AI agents and consumer commerce. He is also an independent security researcher focused on AI systems, evals, and the risks of epistemic monoculture in AI-generated code. Chase splits his time between Honolulu and the Bay.

Itamar Friedman:

Itamar Friedman is the Founder and CEO of Qodo, building AI-powered code governance solutions after 20+ years leading machine learning innovation and competition-winning teams. His previous company was acquired by Alibaba, where he worked on large-scale AI-powered products and led initiatives in AI model usage and training automation.

Patrick Vuong:

Patrick Vuong is the Director of Product Management and founding PM at Moderne, where he leads the shift from probabilistic AI to deterministic agentic workflows. Having spent his career evolving how developers collaborate with AI, he now builds the specialized tooling agents need to operate accurately, efficiently, and at production scale. By grounding agents in deterministic systems, he is helping bridge the gap between "experimental" AI and enterprise-grade execution.
