Yes. TestMu AI is LambdaTest under a new name, effective January 12, 2026. Same company, same legal entity, same team, same infrastructure, and the same customer accounts. Nothing was sold, split, or replaced. Every capability LambdaTest customers relied on, including cross-browser testing, the real device cloud, and 120+ integrations, continues to run, now extended with AI agents such as KaneAI.

Do my LambdaTest tests still work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Existing Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium scripts run unchanged, with no rewrite and no migration. Your capabilities, LT:Options, tunnel configuration, and grid endpoints stay the same, and every integration and API keeps backward compatibility. Historical test data, reports, videos, and logs remain intact. Nothing about the name change required an edit to your suite. See the documentation for specifics.

Did pricing change?

Accepted Answer

No. Nothing was repriced because of the name change. Plans, billing cycles, and contract terms carried over unchanged at the transition, existing LambdaTest subscriptions continued on the same tier, and the legal entity behind your agreement did not change, so commercial terms, SLAs, and invoicing were unaffected. Newer AI products are priced separately. Current figures are always on the pricing page.

When did the name change take effect?

January 12, 2026. The announcement went out that day across the website, the blog, and a video message from Co-Founder and CEO Asad Khan, and it took effect immediately across product, documentation, and support channels. Customer accounts, integrations, and product capabilities moved to the TestMu AI name on that date with no downtime and no action required from users.

On January 12, 2026 the company announced it operates under the TestMu AI name, reflecting the platform's move from a cloud testing grid to an AI-native, multi-agent quality engineering system. Was LambdaTest acquired or shut down?

Accepted Answer

No. LambdaTest was not acquired, merged, wound down, or discontinued. It changed its name to TestMu AI on January 12, 2026 and continues to operate as the same legal entity, which is why existing agreements, contracts, SLAs, billing, and commercial terms all remain in force. The name change itself required no downtime, and no customer account was closed or migrated because of it.

Do I need a new account, or do my LambdaTest login and API keys still work?

Accepted Answer

Your existing credentials work as-is; no new account is required. Username, password, access key, and API tokens are unchanged, and team settings, roles, billing details, and test history carried over automatically. LT_USERNAME and LT_ACCESS_KEY secrets stored in your CI keep working untouched. Sign in with the same email and password. No password reset or re-onboarding is needed.

Do I need to change my Selenium or Appium hub URL, or my API endpoints?

Accepted Answer

No. Your endpoints are unchanged: hub.lambdatest.com/wd/hub for desktop browsers and mobile-hub.lambdatest.com/wd/hub for real devices still serve traffic, as do api.lambdatest.com and accounts.lambdatest.com. Product and API subdomains deliberately kept their lambdatest.com hostnames so no pipeline, allowlist, firewall rule, or proxy configuration needed editing. Only the marketing website moved to testmuai.com.

Do lambdatest.com bookmarks still work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Traffic to lambdatest.com resolves to testmuai.com and deep links redirect to their equivalent destinations, so saved bookmarks and documentation links keep working. The marketing site now lives at www.testmuai.com. You do not need to change anything, though repointing bookmarks at the testmuai.com equivalent saves an extra redirect hop.

Will my CI/CD pipelines and integrations break?

Accepted Answer

No. Every CI/CD integration, webhook, and SDK binding keeps backward compatibility, so Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, Jira, and Slack jobs run without edits. The GitHub Action keeps its original namespace, LambdaTest/LambdaTest-tunnel-action@v2, and stored LT_USERNAME and LT_ACCESS_KEY secrets stay valid. No pipeline reconfiguration or token rotation was required.

Are my existing contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and SLAs still valid?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The legal entity did not change, so every agreement, purchase order, MSA, DPA, and SLA signed with LambdaTest, Inc. remains in force under the TestMu AI name. Renewal dates, payment terms, and PO references carry forward unchanged. Invoices still go to the email used at signup. Procurement teams may want the new trading name on file for future paperwork.

Do the security and compliance certifications still cover us?

Yes. The certifications carry over with the entity: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27017:2015, and ISO 27701:2019, alongside GDPR and CCPA controls. The information security program, incident management process, sub-processor review, and third-party penetration testing continue under the same framework. Is my historical test data, reports, and video still available?

Yes. All historical test data, reports, screenshots, videos, and logs remain intact, with no migration required. Nothing was reset, archived, or deleted during the name change, and dashboards show the same run history they did before. Test Intelligence baselines continue from the same data, so flakiness trends and pass-rate history are unbroken across the transition date.

Is LambdaTest a competitor of TestMu AI?

Accepted Answer

No. LambdaTest is not a competitor of TestMu AI; LambdaTest is TestMu AI. They are one company with one platform and one set of customer accounts, listed separately only in older articles, software directories, and review sites that have not caught up with the January 12, 2026 name change. Comparison pages pitting the two against each other are describing the same product twice.

What is genuinely new that LambdaTest did not have?

The new layer is agentic: AI agents that plan, author, execute, analyze, and optimize tests rather than only running them. That includes KaneAI for natural-language test authoring, Agent Testing for evaluating voice AI and chatbots, and the wider agent catalogue. Everything underneath, the 10,000+ device real device cloud and 3,000+ browser combinations, is the same infrastructure LambdaTest customers already used.

Why did LambdaTest take the name TestMu AI?

Because the old name described a smaller product than the one that exists now. From 2022 the platform added autonomous agents that plan, author, execute, and analyze tests, on top of the cloud grid that executes them. TestMu AI is now a full-stack agentic AI quality engineering platform, and the name reflects that. It comes from the TestMu Conference community. In both the Greek and English alphabets, Mu follows Lambda, so the name reads as the next step rather than a break.

Yes.
