What Actually Happened to LambdaTest?

When LambdaTest started, the software world was in transition. Teams were ready for automation, but legacy infrastructure slowed everything down. LambdaTest began as an answer to that problem. A high-performance unified quality cloud that made large-scale testing fast, reliable, and essential for global teams. We ran 1.5 billion tests every year for teams across 90 countries.

We did not stop there.

We became an AI-native, multi-agent platform for end-to-end quality engineering. Not a feature update. An innovation that made us global leaders in AI testing.

So when our platform evolved, we needed a name that truly represents our AI-first future. And no name fits better than TestMu, the name our community already knew from the TestMu Conference.

So, the name of LambdaTest is now TestMu AI.

Is LambdaTest the Same as TestMu AI?

Yes. LambdaTest and TestMu AI are one company and one platform; TestMu AI is the new brand, not a new product or a successor.

We continue to provide:

• The same cloud-based testing infrastructure
• Access to real browsers and real devices
• Support for Selenium, Playwright, Appium, and other frameworks
• Scalable environments for both manual and automated testing
• Seamless integration into existing workflows

Does lambdatest.com Still Work?

Yes. The lambdatest.com domain still works: the old LambdaTest website redirects to testmuai.com, and deep links land on their TestMu AI equivalents, so bookmarks and saved documentation links keep working. Only the marketing website moved.

The product and API hostnames were deliberately left unchanged: hub.lambdatest.com/wd/hub for desktop browsers, mobile-hub.lambdatest.com/wd/hub for real devices, api.lambdatest.com, and accounts.lambdatest.com. Because those endpoints did not change, no allowlist, firewall, proxy, or pipeline edits were needed on the customer side.

What Is Expanding Beyond LambdaTest?

While the foundation remains consistent, the platform now includes a new layer of intelligence.

With TestMu AI, we are introducing:

Did LambdaTest Shut Down?

No. LambdaTest is still in business and now operates as TestMu AI. The company was not acquired, merged, sold, or wound down; it rebranded on January 12, 2026 and the product is live at testmuai.com. LambdaTest, Inc. remains the legal entity behind TestMu AI, privately held, with the same founders, and offices in San Francisco and Noida.

Nothing was discontinued as part of the change, and the switch happened with no downtime. If a software directory, review site, or comparison page lists LambdaTest as inactive, closed, or replaced by a different vendor, that listing is out of date.
