Larry Goddard is a Test Automation Architect and the Founder and CEO of Klassi. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. From 2019 to 2026 he was the Test Automation Architect at Oxford University Press (OUP), where he was responsible for the organization's test strategy and testing framework and designed the Oxford Automated Framework (OAF), a reusable enterprise automation platform that reduced regression effort by around 60% and enabled CI/CD quality gates. Prior to OUP, he worked for a variety of multi-nationals including a major airline, a leading software testing company, and two major telecommunications companies. He also acted as a technical advisor to a major fashion house and an Expert Witness to a leading international law firm.
He is the creator of klassi-js, an open-source BDD test automation framework built with Node.js, WebdriverIO, and Cucumber and published on npm and GitHub. He was named QA / Tester of the Year at the YunoJuno Awards in 2016 and 2022 and is a finalist for the Black Tech Achievement Awards in 2023 and 2024. Larry completed the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and holds the BCS Foundation Certificate in the Ethical Build of AI. He is a member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (MBCS), a keynote speaker on test automation at conferences and meetups, and a mentor with the Aleto Foundation and the Founders Institute.
